e-flight lectures AERO 2009 in cooperation with e-flight-expo will host several
seminars and lectures on e-flight. The e-topics stand for electrical,
ecological & evolutionary in aviation.
The following lectures have been registered:
• e-flight reality: Eric Raymond, USA – on his Sunseeker.
When weather permitting he will fly his solar powered electric
sailplane on a daily basis. So far he has accumulated more than
500 hours including the flight time during a cross country across the USA in 21 legs.
• battery technology: Christian Kussmann of qpunkt company,
Austria – e-drive and e-flight: Battery and accumulator technology yesterday,
today and tomorrow.
• hydrogenius project: Len Schumann of the University of Stuttgart,
Germany – on their hydrogen powered motorglider,
a joint venture with the Slovenian airplane manufacturer Pipistrel.
• electric engines for e-flight with paragliders Hang Gliders and light other gliders:
Dr. Werner Eck, Germany – a lecture by one of the
most experienced developer of new light weight powerful electric
engines used in a fast growing number of paraplanes, powered hanggliders,
trikes and ultralight fixed wings.
• hydrogen ultralight: Gérard Thevenot of Helite, France – on his hydrogen
fuel cell trike that flies purely on hydrogen without battery support – a world’s first!
• the Green Village Airfield concept: Calin Gologan, Germany – on his zero emission light
sport aircraft powered by ecological electricity generated on the air field.
• battery challenge: Michael Friend, USA – on the needs and demands of future battery
and accumulator technology.
One other interesting symposium
is hosted by the AERO Conference:
• aviation fuel alternatives: on invitation by the German
Aviation Press Club and the Swiss Federation of Aviation Journalists –
a talk show and symposium with renowned participants.
